I play mostly rhythm, but I have been known to get some on a solo on occasion. I've been playing guitar since high school, and before that I took piano lessons forever. I'm kind of new to the rock thing. I listened to nothing but country until five or six years ago, but I realized there's more out there. A lot more. I still like country, though, because the lyrics are so great. Country songs make the cleverest statements: "Nobody in his right mind would have left her", "Since my phone still ain't ringing, I assume it still ain't you". Jimmy Buffett is a great lyricist also. That's really what I am, a lyrics man. I like good music, too, but I really love a good clever or meaningful statement in the lyrics. I've gotten more and more into jazz lately, but I still listen to practically anything and everything.
